This was one of our last weddings of the fall season, and I couldn’t have imaged a better day to end on! Liv and Chris were incredibly sweet when we sat down for coffee. They were so in love and excited about their day. Of course I felt genuinely honored to be part of it!
Liv had perfect, personalized ideas for a fall wedding. Like using a variety of herbs tied in twine as place card settings which reminded her of her grandfather’s business in California. And figs were also important to her, so we added them as part of the centerpieces on the farm tables. Side note, figs beautifully tie in fall colors because they naturally showcase burgundy’s, peaches, light purples, and deep purples! And they are so fun to design with – cut them open to showcase their natural beauty, or leave them whole and set purposefully in an arrangement!! Either way, I’m all about using them!
Liv envisioned their day to be down-to-earth with hints of whimsy and fun. And Wyndridge Farms was a great venue for an outdoor wedding, cocktails on the slate patio, and dinner and dancing in the barn. Simple but beautiful. Elegant but unique!
We created the flowers to have a romantic, wildflower and whimsical vibe to match Liv’s wedding style. We kept the bouquets relatively contained yet added airy flowers such – as queen anne’s lace – which added an airiness to the bouquets, and lots of ranunculus which added a bit of playfulness. And I’m just loving these beautiful maroon lisianthus which matched perfectly with their colors of browns, a variety of burgundy, peaches and pops of creams.
From an intimate vow reading, to the men’s tuxes and bow ties, the wedding colors, the perfect weather outside, and Alicia Wiley nailing every image captured, this day was one for the books! We were so so honored to be part of this day. I hope you enjoy these images as much as we loved designing and working with Chris and Liv.
