Leah & Brett, A Bluestone Estate Wedding

My friends, Leah and Brett’s wedding was filled with the most amazing beauty and care-free laughter. Probably because Leah herself is such a beautiful soul with such genuine beauty and laughter.

Our families go back long before all of us kids were even in existence! Our parents were friends – and in typical Lancaster County fashion – had many mutual friends who also happened to be relatives of some kind! 🙂

I was completely honored to meet with Leah and start diving into all the floral lovelies. She wanted her day to be romantic, classy, and a lot of fun! Leah chose light, blush pink, dusty blue and touches of greenery for her colors. These pared PERFECTLY with her vision.

We purchased very soft, lush garden roses from our favorite garden rose farm in CA, Grace Rose Flower Farm. As well as lisianthus, ranunculus, and spray roses – all flowers that are very round and lush to achieve her sophisticated and elegant look. Oh and peonies! – we of course had to use peonies – a definite flower choice by Leah.

Leah also adored candles. Like THE MORE THE BETTER for her reception!! She really loved the taper candle look and wanted to stay away from a more traditional pillar candle. We worked with her and Bluestone Estate’s fire code policy and suggested the taper candles were inserted in thin glass cylinders. I purchased a ton of dusty blue candles from our favorite candle vendor, Yummi candles, which have THE BEST DRIPLESS CANDLES! (A huge shoutout to their products if you have not guessed!) And we finished the look with smilax greenery – for an airy look.
