This day! Oh my goodness! Talk about a party. The little that I gathered from getting to know Allyson and Stephen through the planning process, was that they love a good time! And boy their day will be the party everyone will be talking about for years to come!
I think there was a rumor about some of the wedding party getting locked out of a car. Or maybe it was someone loosing keys at some point throughout the day. The newly weds entrance into the reception featured a mix that hailed their favorite sports team, The Eagles, and made Allyson die of uncontrollable laughter. And of course the banquet hall was LIGHT UP with with candles, dancing, and laughter, late into the night.
We designed the flowers to perfectly reflect Allyson’s style: fun, wild and free, and non-traditional. She was all about textures. A wild-flower look, and a ton of variety in the bouquets. YESSS!
We used a variety of grasses to pull in that textured look. As well as ranunculus, dahlias, proteas, heather, stock, and a ton of fun colored greenery! Nothing traditional. And it all shouted “Allyson!”. This is what we love about customizing our weddings!!!
Allyson also had a budget, and stuck to it! (Way to go girl!!) One of the biggest flower expenses to your flower budget will be the centerpieces. Since Allyson had a huge guest list – which meant 20 plus tables – we discussed an economical centerpiece design of candles and greens. It was stately, fun, and again, non-traditional. And of course the candles added the perfect soft touch to the room!
I cannot thank you enough, Allyson and Stephen, for the invitation to make your day come to life. It was such an honor. And I’ll always think of you whenever I see the Eagle’s play during football season! 🙂
