Annie & Zach, A Historic Shady Lane Wedding

I felt incredibly honored when I first met Annie over the phone. They were planning their York, PA wedding from NYC. We both loved the idea of a destination wedding at the beautiful Historic Shady Lane!!

Right from the start Annie communicated she wanted a wedding that was not over the top. Frilly. Or flower heavy. She wanted the floral style to be light, airy and romantic. Descriptive words I was all over. And giddy about as I poured over her inspiration board.

Their color palette was made up of blush tones, creams and whites, and finished with natural greenery.

I wanted to keep the flowers very romantic and airy. So I picked beautiful garden roses, white scabiosa, majolica spray roses, and ranunculus to design in their bouquets.

Their centerpieces were some of my favorites! To stay true to their vision of not having anything frilly, flower heavy, or over the top, we designed their reception centerpieces to include light pink gauze table cloth runners with a variety of gold candlesticks, white candles and finished with organic Italian Ruscus running down the tables.

And you have to see all the emotions and feels as Annie walked down the aisle when it started to pour!! But they were prepared with beautiful minimalistic umbrellas to have the show go on outside!!

Annie worked with Courtney with Sapphire Road Weddings to plan their beautiful day. And that it was!! It was an honor to be part of Annie and Zach’s special day.
