When Jenna shared her inspiration board with me over email, I IMMEDIATELY fell in LOVE! This California girl wanted to bring an al fresco, Californian-flair to her Lancaster, PA wedding day. Umm, YES PLEASE! Sign me up! 🙂
Her vision was the perfect combination of rustic vintage with boho elements, yet with all the heart, soul and warmth of an al fresco inspired day. She wanted elements – such as long family styled dinner tables, an open-aired wedding and cocktail hour, and warmth from her colors – to shine through. Oh, and LAVENDER was a must!
Since may of Jenna’s favorite places in California included fields of lavender (oh why can’t we have these here in Lancaster, Pa?!?), lavender was a definite staple in her flowers. Jenna also loved florals that were more vertical in shape, fresh herbs and lots of greenery.
We chose florals such as peach and white stock, white astrantia, white mountain mint, garden roses, seasonal peonies, of course lavender!, lisianthus, baby’s breath. And a variety of greenery such as silver dollar eucalyptus, seeded eucalyptus, and olive branches to match Jenna’s color palette in muted tones of light purples, sage, whites, and a touch of pale pink.
Wedding day details included mismatched bridesmaid dresses, a traditional Jewish-style ceremony, milk cloth table runners, geometric shapes filled with greenery and florals, and lavender name tag florals.
This day and THIS COUPLE is a winner for sure! Love you guys! It was an honor working with you two love birds!
