Tessie & Chris, rustic fall wedding takes on feminine charm

Tessie and Chris are just the cutest.  And both such sweethearts.  They waited through a long engagement for their perfect fall day!  And that it was!

Their day was a perfect mixture of all things feminine and lovely – think lace, textures, silk ribbons & long table garlands!  Tessie chose a gorgeous burgundy for the girl’s dresses, and complimenting peaches, blushes and golds, which we incorporated in the florals and reception details!!

Like all our bouquets, we design each one to capture the bride’s vision for her day.  We like to think it’s her best accessory.  Her bouquet sets the tone for the day through the colors chosen, florals which can take on different personalities, and design style.

Tessie envisioned her day to be filled with classy elegance, yet with a rustic and feminine vibe.  That’s why we chose beautiful garden roses to tie in elegant touches.  Kept her bouquet in a more “traditional” roundish style.  And added  texture from the flowers and greenery that had spiky or small leaves or berries to play off the rustic elements chosen as part of their day!

In the bouquets we used Juliet garden roses as well as a variety of other garden roses, Sahara spray roses, locally sourced dahlias, a variety of hydrangeas picked from our garden and our neighbor’s – thanks John! – scabiosa, and carnations!! Say what?! I know, I personally haven’t always loved those little guys, but lately I have really been obsessed with them! Carnations give lots of beautiful texture and come in a variety of great colors – like bright burgundy and soft peaches, which we used in the bouquets. And of course the bouquets were finished with dusty miller, eucalyptus and flowy, silk ribbons!

For the men we coordinated the same colors in their boutonnieres, and added some sweet texture.

The ceremony took place on the lawn with peach rose petals lining the aisle.  Chair flowers made up of eucalyptus and florals were tied with ribbons on the back two welcoming chairs of the aisle and the front two chairs.  It was simple and elegant.

The reception incorporated both round and farm tables.  We placed long garlands to run down the farm tables.  And created a candle centerpiece for the round tables by incorporating a variety of pillar candles finished with greens around them.

And of course the tablescape was finished with eucalyptus gunni leaves placed next to the menu cards.  Love this little touch!

Thank you, Tessie & Chris, for inviting us to be part of such a beautiful and special day!!  This is always an honor we cherish!!! Xx

Thanks to the other vendors who made this day a dream, Stylish Occassions, Landon Wise Photography, Historic Acres of Hershey, and others.
