Nastassia & Henry, gimme some boho chic vibes

Historic Shady Lane, Manchester, PA, SMJ Photography, May 2016

Henry and Nastassia met on a yacht.  They both chuckled talking about their story.  Because it was so them!  That night out on a boat with a bunch of friends was the beginning of it all!

They were so cute and in love.  And had lots of personality!  I loved it!

Nastassia loved the whole boho trend.  All her Pinterest pictures perfectly reflected her style and I was totally excited about this.  This was the first time I was really able to play with colors – bright colors – as Stia noted.  She loved the bright purples, reds, pinks, but also loved the soft blushes and lots of texture!

For the girl’s bouquets we incorporated stock, juliet roses, peonies, proteas, garden roses, pom mums, ranunculus, thistles, seasonal greens and and LOTS of textures!

We kept the boy’s boutonnieres on the masculine side – simple and sweet.  It was the perfect touch to the stylish vests and ties.

Sita wanted to floral crown to go with her whole boho vibe.  And notice the matching lipstick!?  Yea!  And I love she held her bouquet for (almost) the whole ceremony! 😉

We created a matching floral crown for their little girl, who appropriately was their flower girl.  How sweet to include her in this special time in their lives!!

The ceremony was held in the greenhouse at Historic Shady Lane.  The greenhouse had lots of character but was softened with lights and material draped from the chandeliers.  We added a touch of color and greenery to their arbor which tied their colors in perfectly.

Guests threw a mixture of flower petals we pulled off of same and similar florals we ordered for the wedding.  Love this!  These were placed in little cones and given to the guests to throw in the air as the newly married Mr. & Mrs. walked down the aisle!

The reception, aka “the party”, was held in the grand tent, and boy did this NJ crowd know how to make it a party!

Sita purchased a bunch of bird cages to be placed on the long banquet tables, which we filled with flowers.  The tables were covered with white floor-length linens which made it look refined and very clean.  They rented long barn slabs which were placed in the middle of the tables.   We added eucalyptus greenery to run in between and around the bird cages and lanterns.  It all perfectly worked together to achieve their boho chic vision, with a touch of rustic and elegant elements.

I loved all the little details to make this day so beautiful!  It was such an honor to be part of this destination wedding for Stia and Henry.  I wish you many more happy memories together
