Amara & Brian, simple femininity

These two are the cutest!  When I first started chatting with Amara over email she articulated her vision perfectly.  And I knew this day would be one of simple elegance with feminine touches!  Ahh, love!

A growing 2018 trend is to keep the bridal party “simple” by not including bridesmaids or groomsmen!  This was not for lack friends to stand up front with Amara or Brian, but to keep the ceremony on point – focused on their commitment to each other!  What a sweet idea!

Amara’s bouquet included sweet locally grown cafe au lait dahlias, various kinds of eucalyptus to soften the look, garden roses, and lots of feminine textures.

Oh, and don’t forget the ribbons!  While some may take or leave them, if you are looking for a soft finish to the bouquets, try some airy ribbons and flowy tails.  Our favs come from Silk & Willow, Midori or May Arts Ribbons.

The reception was all about those details!  Amara loved candles and wanted lots of them!  This was a perfect look in the Barn.  I’m always a huge fan of incorporating candles where possible.  They help to soften the ambiance and make it a bit more personable.

We finished the candles with trailing loose greens and feminine florals to keep her vision seamless throughout the wedding.

And those plate florals!  Ask your caterer who will place them for your wedding.  Will they?  Your wedding coordinator?  The venue?  Every catering company is different as are their responsibilities day-of.  We can always place them for you!  We just like to know ahead of time so we can be prepared.

A popular question we get asked is what florals should be added to the sweetheart or head table?  One idea is to repurpose your bridal bouquet here.  But know it may not be the best size for the space.  I personally loved Amara’s idea to move her chuppah garland here.  (Remember to not block the visibility of your guests since they will want to see YOU!)  Here’s an example of incorporating both those two looks below!

It was such an honor, Amara & Brian, to celebrate your special day with you!!
